Mrs Rachel Moseley
SENDCo
At Bishop Bronescombe C of E School, we believe all children deserve the very best possible start and we aim to ensure our pupils achieve their potential by working together with passion within a trusting, nurturing environment where everyone feels valued, secure and respected.
We are a fully inclusive school who strives to ensure our pupils persevere, thrive and achieve with a vision to create a school where every leader is a leader of SEND and every teacher is a teacher of SEND. A breadth of support will be provided to each child who has SEND requirements through early identification, the implementation of specific strategies and the removal of barriers to learning. We wholly advocate the support and involvement of our parents and carers who are instrumental in ensuring specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely goals are identified and reviewed regularly to support their progress and attainment. Parents and carers of our SEND pupils are supported exceptionally by our Parent Support Advisor, Terri-Anne Old, who offers excellent pastoral care, guidance and support which positively contributes to the development of the whole child.
We are blessed to have a fantastic inclusion team who work with staff and pupils to offer advice, share recommendations and strategies and complete necessary assessments to fully support the wellbeing and development of our pupils. Our SENDCOs across the Trust work closely together to prioritise developments in Quality First Teaching with SEND provision in mind and this informs staff CPD to ensure the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
Mrs Moseley works closely with the Inclusion Team below to ensure the SEND needs of our pupils are identified swiftly and that the appropriate provision for pupils and supporting staff is implemented.
